1 Valorant Weapon is Proving so Controversial, Some Fans Want the Price INCREASED, in What Must be a First

Ever since its release in 2021, weapon balancing has been a sensitive topic to discuss when it comes to Valorant, the popular 5v5 FPS shooter by Riot Games. The ever-growing player base of the game has seen a lot of changes to their favorite arsenal over time; however, discontent against one particular weapon has always persisted.

Odin, a high-penetrating machine gun found in the buy menu before a round begins, can prove to be a valuable asset to the team if handled perfectly, mowing down players and their abilities alike. With no action being taken from the developers, players have come up with their own ideas to suggest what can be done.

Have Players Finally Found a Way to End the Machine Gun Mania in Valorant?

Currently, the said weapon can be bought for 3200 in-game credits, a price that many players are beginning to feel is too low for the firepower it provides to its users, allowing them to gain a major advantage.

With the developers failing to do something about it, a petition can now be seen floating on social media platforms demanding the price of the machine gun be set to 6400 instead.

If made into a reality, the absurd price would make it the most expensive weapon to buy in Valorant, placing it above the Operator, which costs only 4700 credits, way less than what players are demanding of Riot Games when it comes to the machine gun.

The said petition has also divided the community into two, with many agreeing that there needs to be a change in the current weapon meta, with other players remarking how it remains a skill issue for those agreeing with the petition.

With the studio soon releasing the game onto consoles in the coming times, issues like these will definitely be highlighted more, prompting the developers to eventually take care of the mania many players can cause from the second round of the match itself.

The release of the popular hero-shooter to PlayStation and Xbox has remained evident since the very first day.

It was only in the last month that the studio opened up the beta version of the game for users on consoles to enjoy.

Available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Japan, players can get to experience the game with a few subtle differences after getting an invite code from the studio itself.

Additionally, a single invite code allows up to 5 players to sign up for the console version of the game, meaning you can pick up your controller and start winning some matches right away after obtaining a code from one of your friends.
