2 teens in custody after firing two shots into the air
CLIFTON, Colo. (KREX) – Two teenagers are currently being held at the Mesa County Detention Facility after allegedly firing shots into the air.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m., Friday, at Candlewood Trailer Park, 424 32 Road in Clifton. Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene and talked to the victim. The individual said two acquaintances allegedly arrived unannounced at his home and attempted to force their way in.
Two shots were reportedly fired into the air by one of the suspects before leaving. The individual gave deputies a description of the two teens’ car; they were located not long after when they attempted to leave the trailer park.
The suspects are 19-year-old Juan Martinez and Esteban Arzapalo, 18. They were transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility where they are being held on various charges related to the incident.
No injuries were reported, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
