2025 Mazda 3 price and specs: Small car gets more safety, connected tech

The Mazda 3 has been given a significant technology upgrade for 2025, headlined by the addition of Mazda Connected Services across the board and enhanced safety.

The updated small car lineup is available now across Mazda’s national dealer network.

Mazda Connected Services features synchronise with the MyMazda app “to give the driver remote access to a vehicle locator, geofencing capability, a flashing lights feature, curfew notifications, remote locking, vehicle health and status reports and stolen vehicle tracking assistance”.

There’s also an SOS button on the roof panel, which automatically activates in the event of an emergency.

Further, the Vision Pack is now standard equipment from Touring grades and above, previously being reserved for the top-spec Astina as standard equipment.

Contents include a surround-view camera, a larger 10.25-inch Mazda Connect infotainment system, Cruising & Traffic Support (semi-autonomous highway mode), driver attention monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Vision Pack remains a $2000 optional extra on Pure and Evolve grades.

All Mazda 3 variants now score USB-C connectivity, replacing the outgoing range’s USB-A ports; while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as wireless phone charging functions are featured as standard from the G20 Evolve and up.

Finally, the distinctive Zircon Sand Metallic premium exterior paint joins the palette, attracting a $595 charge.
