2025 Skoda Fabia price and specs

The Skoda Fabia has become cheaper for 2025, thanks to the addition of a new base-spec variant.

When the current-generation Fabia arrived in Australia in 2022, it came only in flagship Monte Carlo guise. At nearly $40,000 drive-away it’s more expensive than the base Audi A1, while also being priced nearly identical to the closely related Volkswagen Polo GTI.

Its sales have reflected that too, with just 331 Fabias sold in 2024 compared to the Polo’s 2154. In early 2024 though, Skoda announced it would be bringing a cheaper Fabia Down Under – $8000 cheaper, to be exact.

At the bottom of the range now sits the Fabia 85TSI Select. It’s fitted with a smaller engine, less gear, and more friendly styling, making it a much more logical alternative to many other hatches around the $30,000 mark.

The more premium Fabia 110TSI Monte Carlo is still available as always, with the same four-cylinder engine and more aggressive styling its headlining features.

Inside you get unique sporty seats, larger infotainment and instrument displays, and various other creature comforts like dual-zone climate control and aluminium trim pieces.

It also retains its sporty suspension setup and larger wheels, presenting it as something more special than the more accessible Select.

Pricing

The Fabia range in Australia has extended to two models, with the new base-spec Select better aligning it with cheaper hatchbacks like the Toyota Corolla, Volkswagen Polo, and Mazda 3.

Drivetrains and Efficiency

Two turbocharged engines are available across the Fabia range: the lower-output 85TSI three-cylinder in the Select, and the beefier 110TSI four-cylinder in the Monte Carlo.
