2025 Skoda Octavia price and specs: Facelifted model gets more kit for less money

The updated Skoda Octavia liftback and wagon are now on sale in Australia, and they’re arriving at a reduced or identical price to their predecessors despite boasting more features.

Skoda revealed its mid-life facelift to the fourth-generation Octavia in February, and it’s the new Select variant which has the honours of being the first in showrooms.

A replacement for the old Style grade, the Skoda Octavia Select will start from $41,490 drive-away in liftback guise, or $43,990 drive-away for the roomier wagon.

While the latter price represents no change on the model it supersedes, the liftback has been given a $1000 discount.

Better-equipped versions of the Octavia, such as the Sportline and flagship RS performance grade, are due in the first quarter of 2025.

Visual tweaks to the Octavia include new-look LED headlights – with the portion closest to the grille now extended downwards – which incorporate an inverted daytime running light signature.

The side and lower portions of the front bumper are now more angular, with the honeycomb-patterned radiator cover extending further towards the wheel arches.

Inside, the 10.0-inch infotainment touchscreen has been replaced by a larger 13.0-inch unit, however the ‘Virtual Cockpit’ digital instrument cluster remains unchanged at 10.25 inches.

There have been safety enhancements, too, with the base Octavia now featuring as standard rear pedestrian detection for its autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane-centring assist, and emergency assist.

Orders for the 2025 Skoda Octavia are open now.

Servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000km, whichever comes first.

Skoda offers a pre-paid service pack which covers the first seven years or 105,000km of servicing, and is priced from $3650.

While Skoda is yet to detail service pricing for the 2025 Octavia, its shared drivetrain with the pre-facelift model suggests capped prices will remain largely unchanged.

Safety

The Skoda Octavia received a five-star ANCAP safety rating in 2021, based on testing conducted by Euro NCAP in 2019.
