The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom brings to the table (or its echo) everything you need to mix creativity with puzzle-solving. In doing so, the game provides endless options for players to find solutions to challenges across Hyrule.

However, a lot is going on in Zelda’s world as she braves newfound realms, learns echoes and defeats evil. Before diving further into your adventure, there are a handful of tips that can help your journey, and make Echoes of Wisdom twice as memorable.

7. Learn All the Echoes

From the very start, Echoes of Wisdom lets you in on the magic of acquiring echoes. These are snippets of knowledge acquired by learning how to duplicate objects and beings around you. The moment you see the option to learn one, go for it!

There’s no limit to how many echoes you can acquire, and you can use them in clever ways to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Or, just to have fun and see how the game surprises you sporadically.

6. Solve Puzzles Your Way

There are a variety of ways you can go about solving puzzles. Who’s stopping you from placing a table on top of a rock that’s on top of a bed? You probably won’t be able to pull this off in real life, but Echoes of Wisdom welcomes you to push the boundaries of your imagination.

There’s no correct way to get through an area, and whatever works for you… works for you! Try mixing and matching different echoes and let your creativity shine.

5. Explore Each and Every Area

If you’re a long-time fan of The Legend of Zelda, this is a given. The games are designed to be explored by players, and every nook and cranny of an area holds the potential to reveal something meaningful.

In Echoes of Wisdom, every little corner can feel like an adventure if you’re curious enough. Sometimes, you may even find treasures and stories that are hiding behind places you never thought of uncovering before.

4. Upgrade Your Abilities

After getting through your first dungeon, visit Lueberry’s Hut. This cozy little spot will soon feel like your second home, as you can exchange power crystals here to upgrade your gear. You can visit this place anytime during your open world exploration.

As you progress through the game, unlocking new abilities also leads to new upgrade paths. Lueberry’s Hut should be your go-to destination for honing these abilities and purchasing worthwhile upgrades.

3. Rest in Places

If you run out of stuff to eat or drink, just take a quick nap on a bed’s echo. If only we could do this in real life, eh? This can be particularly useful when your minions are fighting in your stead.

Moreover, you can also consume food items you find scattered across Hyrule, or craft up tasty smoothies and drink them during a tough fight. It’s a good idea to do this instead of relying on your conjuring an echo of a bed amid a challenging encounter.

2. Swordfighter Form Is Yours to wield

Echoes of Wisdom can turn from a peaceful puzzle-solving experience to a hardcore fighting game with the press of a button. Once you unlock Zelda’s swordfighter form, feel free to use it to fight like Link for some time.

Keep an eye on that energy reserve though, as this form doesn’t have infinite capacity. Other than your trustworthy echoes, you can rely on the swordfighter form when battling daunting enemies.

Manage Your Echoes

Depending on how much you’ve upgraded the Tri Rod (which mostly happens through story progression), you can summon multiple echoes to do your bidding. From different pieces of furniture to bizarre-looking creatures, everyone’s here to help.

However, you can only keep a few active at a time, so be wise about using your echoes effectively. Sometimes it’s not the best idea to spend all your energy on a single, menacing echo. Instead, summoning two cute-but-confident ones can do the trick, while resting on a conjured bed echo can help you recharge and reflect on your journey so far.
