The First Descendant Instructor Needs a Nerf All of Its Own if Nexon Wants Fans to Pay Attention

The First Descendant, the looter shooter title from Nexon has impressed players with its exciting gameplay and the game has reached a peak player count of over 264,860 at the time of writing. Despite a number of issues in the game, players seem to be having fun fighting the Vulgus.

There are several problems in the game that players have been talking about including technical issues and bugs and glitches. However, it seems like there is one another problem with the translator in the game that developer Nexon might need to fix before players start departing.

Nexon’s game has been successful in pulling players to try out the game and many have been playing it but it has also been full of problems. Players are not really a fan of the excessive grind mechanics, microtransactions which many have called almost predatory, and several other issues.

Fans have now shifted their attention to the translator in the game and it seems like the translator might need to be nerfed. One player took to The First Descendant subreddit and shared a post asking the community if they too think the instructor talks too fast and if there’s a way to slow it down.

This could be a issue in the long term as players want to understand things correctly but are unable to. But not being able to understand the instructor let alone learn anything because it is too fast could make players feel like they’re wasting time in the game.

The said that they’re not sure if it’s a bug or that’s how it was intended to work but added that the “dialogue moves ridiculously fast.” They mentioned that they are a fast reader but they are unable to keep up with the instructor and misses out on what he’s trying to teach them.

This Is Just One of the Problems in the Game Right Now

Several players agreed to the player and said that they too have been feeling that the instructor is too fast. Fans added that they actually want to listen to the instructor but they miss out on things no matter how fast they try to read.

This is more important as fans have said that he’s the one person fans would want to listen to for game info. One fan said that this may be because South Korean is too fast to read and Nexon did not adjust it for English in The First Descendant.

However, this is just a single problem in the plethora of issues players have been facing in the game and they are surely not pleased. From technical issues, servers outages to undelivered Twitch drops and purchase items, the game has been marred with problems.

The developer did bring a hotfix to fix some things but it seems like it wasn’t enough. The drop rates in the game have also been a topic of discussion in the community.
