Greenspace Management pulls out of Kwinana mini golf construction due to tough economic climate

Tough economic conditions have seen plans for an 18-hole mini golf course at Calista Oval land straight in the bunker.

In 2023, Kwinana Council awarded the tender for the design, construction and management of the mini golf course to Greenspace Management.

The city announced this week that Greenspace Management had decided not to progress further with the development due to commercial reasons.

Mayor Peter Feasey said the project wouldn’t go ahead, following a commercial decision by Greenspace that the project was no longer feasible in the current economic climate.

“While it is disappointing that the plan for the mini golf circuit won’t be going ahead, the council is still invested in exploring unique opportunities to activate the area on Calista Oval,” Mayor Feasey said.

“The mini golf was earmarked for the space between the Kwinana Adventure Park and the Calista Bike Skills Track, and we will swing into action to explore alternatives to enhance and further build on the popularity of the Kwinana Adventure Park.”

This city allocated $250,000 for a kiosk as part of the tender which will go back into the property reserve fund to be used for future commercial activities.
