Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 Series GPU Power Leaked By Seasonic

Seasonic has accidentally leaked the thermal design power (TDP) of the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs thanks to its PSU wattage calculator.

First spotted on Twitter by user Everest, the calculator was recently updated to show the new GPUs.

For those who aren’t aware, TDP is the maximum amount of heat that can be generated by a GPU, CPU, or another component type. What it isn’t is the amount of electricity that the component uses. Instead, think of it was the max that shouldn’t be reached in order to keep the equipment working and safe.

You can check out the new leaked TDP for the GeForce RTX 5000 series compared to the last-generation 4000 series. With something like this, it’s important to know that the final numbers could be different. However, this does give a good idea of what you should expect to get from the new lineup.

The 5000 series of graphics cards are expected to start launching later this year. The flagship RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 should be the first to release in the fall.
