1 Part of the Upcoming Fighter is Impossible to Make Work Naturally

The mythical Great Ape first came to light in Dragon Ball as Goku unwillingly transformed into one while confined in Emperor Pilaf’s palace. While it was a wild one (literally), we saw a civilized one (not really) when Vegeta achieved the transformation while in a feud with Goku.

We then realized they could talk. Well, at least the ones having “Elite” status among the Saiyan race. And we know him as a “Super Elite Saiyan,” so maybe that’s one reason. Fans have seen them talking in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, and the feature will be carried over to the next.

Some Great Display of Dialogues is to Follow in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero did miss the condition for the Great Ape transformation, but that doesn’t mean it gets it wrong. We again came across a clip, this time it was Great Ape Vegeta vs. Great Ape Vegeta.

Even though he’s in that form, one can easily tell by the gestures that it was the Saiyan Prince. That explains how unique the characters are in the Spike Chunsoft game.

In the clip shared over social media network X (formerly Twitter), the two warriors in the Bandai Namco game were seen spilling the dialogue in the cutscene. And fans found it hilarious.

One fan used a famous Spider-Man meme that fits just perfectly here.

Another one has a wish to see others from the Saiyan race playing as Great Apes in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero.

We know that all of them have been featured in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, and the upcoming Dragon Ball game won’t be different.

The Great Apes Became Playable Through Budokai Tenkaichi

Interestingly, the Budokai Tenkaichi series is the first to feature the Great Apes as playable characters. What’s more, other characters that we never see transform, including King Vegeta and Nappa, got the chance to attain the form.

Despite their size being cut down significantly in Budokai Tenkaichi they still remain the largest playable characters in the game. Also, they were slow in contrast to their anime versions.

The reason behind it remains the significant damage they can inflict on other characters. Presumably to balance things out in the game.

Budokai Tenkaichi 2 brought in the voice for the Great Apes but the low-class Saiyans weren’t able to speak clearly. Interestingly, in the sequel, King Vegeta retains his beard alongside the voice while in the Great Ape form.

What do you think about the Great Ape transformation in the series? We would like to know about it in the comments section below.
