Valorant Continues to Ignore the Agents Everyone Wants Buffed

Valorant players have long been vocal about the need for certain agents to receive buffs, but it seems their pleas are falling on deaf ears. The game’s Agent roster has expanded to 24 unique characters, offering a wide variety of playstyles and strategies. 

But despite this variety, many players feel that certain Agents have been left behind. Astra, Viper, and Sage are just a few names that repeatedly come up in discussions about overlooked Agents. These characters seem forever ignored by the developers.

Valorant Has Agents That Haven’t Been Updated for Months

The release of Valorant’s Episode 9 Act 1 has only highlighted these issues further. The recent meta changes and the introduction of a new map, Abyss, have shifted the dynamics, yet some agents remain untouched.

Despite frequent discussions among the community, some Valorant agents agents seem to be overlooked. Astra for example is frequently mentioned in player forums as an agent unlikely to receive buffs.

The consensus is that any mention of her in patch notes will likely involve nerfs. This leaves Astra mains remembering days when her abilities allowed for more strategic play.

The introduction of new agents like Clove has also shifted the meta, often leaving older agents behind. Clove’s abilities, such as post-death smokes and a self-revive ultimate, have made them a must-pick for many teams. This also shows how newer agents receive more attention and older ones are neglected.

Similarly, Sage has been a staple in Valorant since its launch, but her utility has been consistently downgraded. Players think that she was once game-changing but now feels inadequate. Most fans don’t think Riot Games will make any meaningful buffs to Sage in the near future.

Players Are Just Left Asking “When Is the Valorant Patch Releasing?”

Many people in the community think the defensive Agents are being intentionally weakened. Players believe that characters designed to prevent reckless gameplay are often nerfed to appease those who prefer a more aggressive style.

This trend is not unique to Valorant as similar issues have been seen in games like Overwatch, where tanks and support roles are frequently adjusted to cater to a more fast-paced metas.

Agents like Brimstone and Phoenix also remain in a state of limbo. While Brimstone is seen as well-balanced, his limited range on larger maps makes him less versatile than other Controllers. Phoenix, on the other hand, struggles to compete with other Duelists due to his weaker kit.

Despite the community’s calls for buffs, Riot Games has remained largely silent on the issue. This silence has just made players feel ignored and undervalued.
