Former Comic Book & Classic Mortal Kombat Fighter Coming Back to the Franchise in a Unique Way

Last year, NetherRealm Studios released Mortal Kombat 1, resetting the entire story from the beginning with a new origin. Now, the studio will bring back a character who has previously appeared in the game through a prior collaboration. 

Spawn will return to this franchise, but not in the main game; instead, he will be a playable character in the mobile version. Todd McFarlane created a comic that first introduced this character with infernal powers. He gained significant popularity in the 1990s, becoming a cult character with some of the most impressive action figures on the market.

Mortal Kombat Collaborates With Spawn Again

One of the main characteristics of the latest games in this saga is that they always collaborate with characters from other IPs. In Mortal Kombat 1, the latest title in this popular fighting game series, characters such as Homelander and Omni-Man joined the roster of warriors to fight with.

Fans have warmly received many of these collaborations, which have resulted in outstanding crossovers.

A character who has already appeared in a previous game in the franchise will return, but in a completely different way. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games confirmed that Spawn will join the roster of fighters.

Another Great Collaboration Comes to the Mobile Version

The studio took the opportunity to present the character’s gameplay, delving into his infernal abilities, in which he can make a weapon appear out of nowhere and deal much more damage at the end of a combo.

Furthermore, one of Spawn’s characteristics in this Mortal Kombat game is that he will occasionally be able to use firearms to deal more damage. He is a very versatile fighter, with many varied combos to break the defense.

The official name of the character in the game is Tormented Soul Spawn, and we will also add additional content related to this character and his arrival in the game.

He will have his own tower to defeat, and he will be the final boss to achieve a couple of bonuses in the game. Mortal Kombat Mobile is a very active title when it comes to adding new content for fans. The studio is always trying to add a new character.

Soon, Kenshi from Mortal Kombat 1 will arrive in the mobile game and will have all the same combos seen in the main franchise game. This character is one of the most dynamic and powerful in terms of continuous combos, with many ideal tricks for dealing a lot of damage in a single combo.
