Little Rock man dead after standoff with Arkansas State Police in Prairie County
DEVALLS BLUFF, Ark. – A Little Rock man is dead after a standoff with Arkansas State Police in DeValls Bluff in Prairie County.
According to an ASP spokesperson, officers were attempting to serve a warrant when the 32-year-old suspect began firing a gun at them Thursday morning.

ASP officials said that the suspect barricaded himself inside a home on East Walnut Street around 9:30 a.m. before gunfire was exchanged during a 4-hour-standoff between law enforcement at the scene.
Sources told FOX 16 News anchor Kevin Kelly a nearby courthouse was placed on lockdown in response to the standoff.
Special agents said the suspect was wanted on multiple felony warrants out of Little Rock, Sherwood and Pulaski County.
ASP officials said that no troopers were injured in the standoff.
