FIRST LOOK: WA mine-worker Reuben De Milo stuns on The Voice
A Perth-based mines worker has stunned coaches on The Voice this year, leaving one in tears and another singing his praises.
Reuben De Melo, a father-of-two from WA, is shown in a first-look teaser for the new season singing Ed Sheeran’s hit, ‘I See Fire’.
His stunning rendition has this year’s superstar coaches, LeAnn Rimes, Kate Miller-Heidke, Guy Sebastian and Adam Lambert, clamouring to mentor him in the TV singing competition, leaving country sensation Rimes in tears.
Particularly impressed was Miller-Heidke, who was first to turn her chair, remarking, “You sang that better than Ed Sheeran.”
Sebastian was also enthusiastic, telling the singer, “There are singers who sing to impress, and there are singers who sing to move…that’s one of my favourite auditions I have heard on this show.”
