Mortal Kombat 1’s DLC Khaos Reigns is Already Cooking as Fans Agree on 1 Aspect of the Reveal

Every Mortal Kombat 1 player has been buzzing after NetherRealm Studios gave the first glimpse of the Khaos Reigns DLC. The game, released in September last year, has been lying low since. However, the reveal of the upcoming DLC has reignited the player base as they gear up to face the next Titan, Havik.

While the Mortal Kombat DLC focuses on expanding the storyline, adding new characters, and bringing back Animalities, it’s the introduction of the new stage that’s receiving much love from fans.

The New Mortal Kombat 1 Stage Has Everyone Buzzing

Toward the end of Mortal Kombat 1, we see Titan Havik joining the fray, ready to start his own war. Well, that moment is here, as the Khaos Reign DLC will pit players against Titan Havik and his ruthless army.

One aspect of the upcoming DLC is the new stage, which is receiving a thumbs-up from every fan. At first glance, it seems to be the domain of Titan Havik, where there are no actual structures but chaos. The place looks like a post-war arena where everything is shattered, which aptly fits the theme of Khaos Reign.

It’s hard to say exactly where the new stage is located, but it is likely in the chaos realm. Whatever the case, NetherRealm Studios has undoubtedly done a commendable job of upping the ante in the DLC.

As expected, fans have been showing their appreciation for the new stage on social media.

One fan rightly pointed out that the stage looks like it’s straight from the old-school 3D era.

There is plenty to look forward to regarding the Khaos Reign DLC. The game is bringing six new characters: Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Judgement Day Terminator T-1000, Ghostface from Scream, and Conan the Barbarian.

One of the most notable aspects of the DLC is the return of Animalties after almost three decades. For new players who are unaware, Animalities allows characters to turn into animals and brutally execute their opponents.

Lastly, every player has received a Scorpion MK95 skin for free. Players can find two pallets of Scorpion MK95 in their inventory, and there are no requirements to avail them. The Khaos Reign DLC will arrive on September 24 and cost $49.99 for every platform except for Switch, which is priced at $39.99.
