A record amount of recyclable goods have been redirected from the South Hedland Landfill, with just under 900 tonnes of waste diverted in the past financial year.

Some 136.12 tonnes of tyres, 1.9 tonnes of batteries, 37 tonnes of car batteries, 712 tonnes of scrap metal, 8.8 tonnes of TVs, and 0.8 tonnes of IT equipment were recycled.
