The regional industrial land earmarked by the State Government to host potential mineral processing plants and manufacturing would cost $36 billion to get investment-ready, a new report has claimed.

An “Activating WA’s Strategic Industrial Areas” (SIAs) paper commissioned by the Chamber of Minerals and Energy WA drew attention to what chief executive Rebecca Tomkinson said was an absence of “turnkey ready” sites in the likes of Browse, Boodarie, Oakajee and Anketell.
