XDefiant Player Proves A Lot of the Complaints Aren’t Always Based Around the Failings of Ubisoft’s Shooter

XDefiant, launched at the end of May, and was Ubisoft’s attempt to try to attract players away from the popular Call of Duty. This title offers the same fast-paced gameplay as the Activision saga, using all the popular franchises from the creators of Assassin’s Creed as different factions fighting against each other.

A Reddit user who loves this title grew weary of players’ complaints about the game’s supposed design flaws. This user advised the community to accept that gameplay will kill players constantly and adapt to the weapon and equipment meta.

XDefiant’s Weapons Are Not the Problem

The studio behind this game managed to attract a solid community in its first months. Ubisoft has officially launched the first season of XDefiant, complete with all sorts of additional content for players who enjoy playing this title on a regular basis.

However, like any game as a service, some members of the community are dissatisfied and constantly complain about supposed design flaws.

A Reddit user got tired of hearing these unfounded complaints, saying that the studio has nothing to do with these supposed errors and that each of these meta equipment in matches can be easily countered.

There’s a counter for most things players complain about. And EMP grenade is KING

This user penned a lengthy post emphasizing that the community should adapt to frequent losses and refrain from excessive complaints, instead focusing on enjoying the game. Additionally, they provided many details on how to counter the most commonly used weapons.

This Time Around, Ubisoft Has Nothing to Do with the Complaints

The user carefully described the complaints and how to address them, including XDefiant-ranked matches. All this while saying that if there is a complaint, it is probably a skill issue that the majority of players have because they can get used to the gameplay.

Obviously, user reactions were varied, and not everyone took this player’s comments about these supposed design problems positively.

Like any game as a service, especially first-person action titles, there is always a meta. While some weapons receive more usage than others, players can always counter them with different strategies or equipment, despite their seemingly invincible and frustrating appearance.

This user underscored that numerous complaints accusing the studio of inadequate weapon balancing often stem from players who may underestimate their own skill levels.

The weapons are varied and, in many cases, futuristic, which sometimes makes it difficult for a player to get the hang of them. But even so, its community continues to grow.

This game offers varied and versatile gameplay, which is what they are looking for in this direct rival to the Call of Duty saga. Everything indicates that this game will have a bright future and will continue to offer all sorts of content for the community to keep enjoying.
