Marvel Rivals’ NetEase Made a Pointless Addition to the Beta Unless You’re Playing 24/7

Marvel Rivals, the upcoming team-based hero shooter title from NetEase Games has been impressing fans. The game is being seen as the competitor to games like Overwatch and brings Marvel characters to shooter gameplay.

Players will be able to play as their favorite and iconic Marvel heroes and villains. The game is currently in beta and players are having fun but the developer has made a pointless addition that is not sitting right with fans.

Fans Are Not Happy With One Addition to Marvel Rivals Beta

The Marvel Rivals closed beta began on July 23 and will be running until August 5 at 7am UTC. The closed beta features 23 playable characters including popular Avengers heroes and X-Men as well as some of the most iconic villains.

There are different kinds of playlists, namely Quickplay, Competitive, and Conquest, where players can play as these heroes. While players have loved the game so far and want it to be launched as soon as possible, one addition by NetEase has left them annoyed.

Not gonna lie, extending Galacta’s Quest to Level 42 with Thor’s outfit not even being permanent with only 7 days is kinda pointless imho…

The developer extended the Galacta’s Quest up to 42 levels which is seemingly unachievable for players even if they play 24/7 during the closed beta. Players have said that extending the level to 42 is “pointless” when the newly-arrived Marvel Rivals Thor outfit is only available for 7 days.

Fans Do Not Understand NetEase’s Strategy on This

The Galacta’s Quest is a special event during the closed beta test and offers rewards to players across the levels. However, fans say it is not possible to get all rewards since the level has been extended and the majority of the players haven’t even reached halfway.

Fans have said that they do not understand why the developer thought it’s good to extend the levels of an event that many cannot reach. One player also said that they think NetEase is “decreasing the pacing quite a bit for credit accumulation.”

Another player said that the developer will regret this later. They stated, “They will feel really stupid once it’s over and not one person made it to the end.”

Some players have said that NetEase should extend the closed beta so they can get all the rewards. Although players do not get anything they earn in the beta in the full launch except Venom skin, profile banner, and spray, players want to experience the game fully.

The majority of the fans have said that they have barely got any rewards and now the levels are extended. Moreover, they cannot keep the things they get so it’s all for nothing. Players have said that they’ll grind just for the fun of it.
