Helldivers 1’s the Proof that Helldivers 2 Should Have Weapon Attachments, So Where Are They?

The Helldivers 2 community is always attentive, suggesting and exchanging ideas with Arrowhead Game Studios, the team behind its development, to achieve a better, smoother, and ever-evolving gaming experience.

In a recent post, a Reddit user fervently explained how the studio should add a rather common feature in any game that handles firearms. The user even took the opportunity to compare it with the first title, which already included this feature. Fans want to customize weapons with accessories like in Call of Duty.

Weapon Upgrades for Helldivers 2 Should Already Be Part of the Game

Having been one of the surprises of the year in terms of popularity and the number of active players, this title has proven to have one of the most active communities among all service-based games in recent years.

Helldivers 2 has offered a unique proposition amidst various generic titles that could not fully implement originality. Fans of this game are always willing to suggest various ideas to the studio for inclusion in the game, and fortunately, the development team is quite receptive to these suggestions.

A Reddit user dedicated a lengthy and detailed post to urging the studio to actively listen to the community and incorporate all the constantly proposed ideas.

Beyond the lengthy post, numerous users leveraged its popularity to offer their own suggestions for game additions based on their specific criteria. Players want weapons with customizable options in order to have the best gaming experience possible.

Arrowhead Game Studios Should Think About Implementing This

You can already change a few accessories in the game, like turning the flashlight on and off and changing the type of shot. However, the game does not offer any additional customization options, unlike Helldivers 1.

The ability to customize weapons would work well with the overall gameplay, but it would require many changes regarding unlocking content in the various passes. This is due to the need to replace all current content with new weapon accessories.

Similar to how Call of Duty enables the use of new attachments as the weapon levels up, the studio could devise a system that unlocks all accessories through weapon usage.

Gamers can’t wait to see this in action and try out all the variations. The possibility of having different types of ammunition, such as incendiaries and other attachments, increases excitement, and the community wants to test these possibilities.

In Helldivers 2, Warbond’s has demonstrated that customizable weapons are more than possible. Several weapons already feature special ammunition, such as a shotgun that exclusively employs incendiary ammunition, demonstrating the applicability of these minor weapon details in the game.

In a few days, the game will receive a free update that will add a lot of content, including new missions, new difficulties, and, above all, new enemies to defeat.
