Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, set to release on September 9, 2024, is going to be a significant entry in the 40K game series. The original game left a lasting impression, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the sequel for a long time now.

While the main campaign is a major draw and a big interest for a lot of the fans, Space Marine 2 multiplayer offers a range of additional modes, including a fleshed-out co-op experience. Players have been discussing on Reddit about which classes would be their main.

Fans are Excited Over Class Variety in Space Marine 2

A user on the r/SpaceMarine subreddit recently shared a picture highlighting the various classes available, leading to excitement and discussions among fellow gamers. The responses showed that players are thrilled about the diverse options and the unique gameplay each class offers. These six classes consist of Assault, Vanguard, Bulwark, Sniper, Heavy, and Tactical.

The Game Has Several Multiplayer and Co-Op Modes

Space Marine 2’s entire campaign can be played in 3-player co-op mode, where players take on the roles of Titus and his brothers-in-arms, Chairon and Gadriel. This will lead to a collaborative and immersive experience for co-op lovers.

In addition to the campaign, the game introduces a different co-op mode called Operations. This mode allows up to three players to undertake unique missions across the galaxy. Each player can choose from six aforementioned classes which are very different, each with its own weapons and abilities. 

Completing missions will reward players with new skills and cosmetic upgrades, making their characters more powerful and also adding depth to the gameplay.

The game also includes a dedicated PvP mode named Eternal War. This mode has teams of six Space Marines against six Chaos Marines in various multiplayer scenarios. Three modes have been confirmed so far – Annihilation, Capture and Control, and Seize Ground. These are somewhat similar to modes offered in other multiplayer games.

One of the standout features of Space Marine 2 is its “Swarm Technology,” which has been talked about a lot by the developers. This enables hundreds of enemies to appear on-screen at the same time, creating some chaotic battles.
