Police launch land, sea search near Albany tourist spot The Gap amid welfare concerns for missing man Parbhat

Great Southern police have launched a land and sea search in a bid to find a man who has gone missing near the popular tourist spot the Gap in Albany.

Police have urgent welfare concerns for 29-year-old Parbhat who was last seen in his car in the carpark of the Gap in Torndirrup National Park on Monday, August 5.

Parbhat is described as olive-skinned with dark hair and a beard and was last seen wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit.

He has not been sighted since Monday, with his disappearance sparking an extensive police operation on Tuesday.

Several police resources were deployed to the area to conduct a preliminary search for Parbhat.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police immediately on 131 444.
