El Dorado County residents evacuate due to Crozier Fire

(FOX40.COM) — Evacuation warnings have expanded in El Dorado County as the Crozier Fire continues to grow on Wednesday morning.

The fire is burning near the communities of Mosquito and Swansboro, which are around 14.5 miles northeast of Placerville.

Evacuation Order Zones include the neighborhoods north and northeast of the Mosquito/Swansboro Country Airport to the fire line, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.

An additional Evacuation Warning Zone has been established north of the fire to Quintet and south of the Evacuation Order Zone.

A temporary evacuation center has been established at the Placerville Library at 345 Fair Ln, Placerville.

Displaced animals from the Evacuation Order Zone can be brought to the El Dorado County Animal Services Shelter, 6435 Capitol Ave, Diamond Springs.
