Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree’s Should Have Included One Piece of Fan-Service
Elden Ring is yet another FromSoftware game that delivers unforgettable fights. One of the things that keeps fans coming back for more is the ability to get their hands on the incredible moves wielded by some of the enemies.
Whether it’s an Ash of War or an Incantation, there’s something deeply satisfying about turning the tables on enemies that have bullied you by using their tricks against them. While the DLC fulfilled that dream, it took something else away, and people aren’t happy.
Elden Ring Teases Its Players, and Its Unbearable
Let’s rewind for a moment to the base game. Elden Ring introduced us to the Crucible Knights—hulking, armored enemies with a terrifying set of special moves.
These knights are an absolute force of nature, and their moves sometimes make them as tough as bosses, if not tougher. You can gain some of these moves after killing the Crucible Knights that you came across. Not all, though.
Some Knights can gain wings, fly, and charge at you. This move was never given to players in the base game, but the DLC lets you obtain it as an Ash of War.
Kinda shocked that they didn’t in the DLC tbh

While this was great news initially, people now have more demands concerning the Crucible faction.
Number one is, considering how many Crucible Incantations there are, Miyazaki needs to add a Sacred Seal that boosts these powers.
That’s not all though. Shadow of the Erdtree introduced a new Crucible Knight called Devonia, who has a move where she transforms into a Centaur and wrecks you.

After witnessing a move as cool as this, people wanted the ability to do it themselves. Unfortunately, the DLC only shows players what it looks like and never gives it to them, and it stings.
The Fan Service That Could’ve Been, but Never Was
While players love seeing just how much Elden Ring is capable of doing, it hurts not being able to do it yourself.

Even the Frog Tongue incantation that Black Knight Garrew uses looks like a bundle of fun, but alas, you can’t get it—not without mods, anyway.

If it’s any consolation, Devonia drops her weapon and her helm once she’s defeated.
It doesn’t seem like people are fans of it, though, looks-wise. Can’t blame them either.

Even though it’s not the same as having a dedicated Sacred Seal, each piece of Crucible Knight armor will boost Crucible Incantations by 4%.
It’s doubtful Miyazaki suddenly drops an update that adds a Sacred Seal for boosted Crucible Incantations or an Ash of War that turns you into a Centaur. The armor set is better than nothing.
Are there any enemy moves that you were hoping to be obtainable? We’d love to hear about them in the comments below!
