Control 2 Is Now Playable as Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake Enters Full Production
Remedy Entertainment has revealed that Control 2 is now playable, the Max Payne 1 & 2 remake has entered full production, and Project Condor seems to be progressing, too.
According to a report by VGC, Remedy recently commented on the progress of the development of their upcoming titles. Control 2 has entered the “production readiness stage” and has become “playable.” Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake is even further in its development cycle, progressing from “production readiness to the full production stage.” Remedy and Rockstar are aiming to create an end-to-end version of the game.
Lastly, Project Condor has also made some progress. Developers have already worked on “multiple maps and different mission types”. They are also organising increased “internal and limited external playtesting”, which will help towards “feature validation and feedback’.
Last year, Control 2 was still in its “proof-of-concept stage” as the plans for the sequel were “ambitious”. On the other hand, Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake was in its “production readiness stage”, as the developers had just “gained clarity on the style and scope of the game”. Moreover, Remedy also revealed this year that Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes are “enabled by a similar development budget as Alan Wake 2“.
In other news, check out everything we know about Control 2. Max Payne’s voice actor, James McCaffery, passed away last year. What are your thoughts on the development progress for Control 2 and Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake? Let us know in the comments.
