Black Ops 6’s Leaks Have Shown Us What We Knew All Along About 1 Outdated and Unnecessary System

The whole world is highly anticipating the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This upcoming title is going to be the twenty-first installment of the long-hailed franchise and is set to launch on October 25, 2024, on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X/S & One, and Windows.

This time, the anticipation regarding a new COD title is a bit higher than usual because this Black Ops series title is going to introduce some unique features that the franchise has never witnessed, especially the movement mechanics. That’s why fans want to get rid of one outdated movement feature.

Fans Don’t Want Tac Sprint in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Recently, a Call of Duty fan expressed his wish to remove Super Sprint or Tactical Sprint from the upcoming title. Basically, Tac Sprint is a faster version of the regular sprint in Modern Warfare 3. This feature was first introduced in Modern Warfare and later on to other titles.

In order to enable Tactical Sprint, you just have to double-tap Sprint. This way, your character will pull their weapon upwards and run faster than usual. However, it does increase the player’s sprint speed, but at the cost of a higher sprint out time and limited duration. This duration is determined by stamina, which regenerates over time after each use.

According to this fan, as the upcoming title will have Omnimovement, there is no need for the old Sprint mechanism anymore. Also, this fan thinks Black Ops titles generally have faster movements than Modern Warfare titles. He has also stated that this sprint feature abuses the movement mechanics of the game, ruining the flow of the gameplay.

As per him, this “super gimmicky” feature is not needed in a 6v6 arcade shooter, and as the game will have Omnimovement, our sole focus regarding movement mechanics should be on that.

Omnimovement is definitely more than just a buzzing word. This feature is going to bring an overhaul change in the movement mechanics of the franchise.

In this kind of movement, your character will be able to sprint in any direction, be it on the right, left, or even backward. This feature is the sole reason the upcoming title will never have complications in cross-play, unlike Apex Legends.

With these movement mechanics, you will be able to dive, slide, or go prone in any of your desired directions, allowing players more ownership over how they control their character.

For example, in the upcoming title, you can do quick back paddles, fast side steps, swift strafes, and many more, unlike simple walking in other directions apart from sprinting forward.

Do you also think Tac Sprint should be removed from the upcoming title as Omnimovement is there?
