I love expanding my game library with free-to-play titles. More often than not, they offer countless hours of fun, so long as you ignore entirely the microtransactions. With that said, is Arena Breakout: Infinite free to play?

Is Arena Breakout: Infinite Free?

Arena Breakout: Infinite will launch on Steam completely free-to-play. There’s no box price, no monthly subscription price, and no paid expansions to speak of as of yet. Could that change in the future? Of course, it’s entirely possible that developer Morefun Studios requires additional funding and launches a monthly premium pass of some kind, offering Koen and equipment, or a paid expansion with new content.

For now, however, enjoy the game. You can play it without spending a dime, which is definitely saying something, considering its competitors often charge an arm and a leg to play!

Does Arena Breakout: Infinite Have Microtransactions?

There are rumblings within the community regarding the game’s microtransactions. Many claim they’ll follow their mobile game’s monetization route and implement pay-to-win mechanics that significantly boost paying players over the competition. However, others note the studio claimed in past interviews that all microtransactions would remain purely cosmetic.

There’s no telling which side of the road they’ll fall on. We suspect it’ll wind up as a mix of both. Most extraction shooters wind up selling additional stash space, increased trader reputation, and better starting equipment. That said, I do welcome cosmetics. I’m a sucker for quality yet affordable in-game cosmetics to help fund development!
