Ray Martin plans his own funeral in new documentary, The Last Goodbye
Ray Martin has done many things in his long and storied career as one of Australia’s most recognisable journalists. But for all the hard-hitting interviews he’s conducted and complex stories he’s covered, perhaps none have been quite as confronting as his latest investigation: his own mortality.
“It’s one of the last taboos,” Martin says of the topic of his new documentary series Ray Martin: The Last Goodbye. Death: and what to do when it happens to you. “Despite my age and my wife’s — she’s a few years younger — we hadn’t talked about it. And so if we hadn’t talked about it, then other people aren’t talking about it.”
