Alan Wake 3 Must Take This One Note from The Last of Us to Shut Down the Biggest Critics Despite Sequel’s Success
Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 was certainly one of the most popular games of 2023. It took Remedy more than a decade to give the fans a sequel to 2010’s Alan Wake. Many will agree that it was worth the wait, however, it still lacks some things that fans hope to see in the next installment of the series.
Although there is no information regarding Alan Wake 3, having these particular things in the next game would certainly uplift the gaming experience. The video game competes with titles like Resident Evil and The Last of Us, so it certainly needs some changes to keep up with them. Some post-release updates and different types of enemies are two primary things that fans would like to see in the next game.
Alan Wake 3 should have more types of enemies
While playing Alan Wake 2, players often run into Taken or just larger forms of Taken. While the game has some enemy variety, it still fails to give fans different types of enemies that are fun to fight with. The Last of Us video game franchise was able to execute this idea properly as different types of enemies provide gamers with an immersive and exciting experience. Fans hope to see different enemies in the next Alan Wake game.
One more thing that some fans would like to see is a fresh update on the protagonist. Many feel like Alan Wake has his run and needs an ending that wraps up his journey. With a new character, the franchise can keep the fans hooked with a new story.
Alan Wake 3 needs more post-release content and side quests
It’s true that there’s not a lot to do after finishing the story of Alan Wake 2. Many games that have released content after the game’s initial release make the game much more interesting as many gamers are curious to see the changes in the storyline after the primary ending. While a photo mode, new difficulty settings, and a New Game+ have been promised in future updates, only an extension of the main story will convince the fans to play the game again.
While on this topic, it is necessary to mention how Alan Wake 2 also lacked side-quests that revealed more about the story. Control had some interesting bonus missions and the same was expected with Alan Wake 2. Hopefully, Remedy Entertainment will acknowledge these problems and make sure these issues don’t come up in the next Alan Wake game so they can shut down the critics.
