Twice today this newspaper highlights the National Disability Insurance Scheme, increasingly a financial albatross for the Federal Government.
Both instances throw a spotlight on the scheme’s catch-22. Participants and their families often feel let down by the system — that it doesn’t provide sufficient funding when needed, fails to respond to changing circumstances efficiently and funding is misdirected.
