Girl, 14, charged with murder after alleged stabbing at a Big4 caravan park on Queensland’s Fraser Coast
A 14-year-old girl has been charged with murder after an alleged stabbing at a caravan park on Queensland’s Fraser Coast.
Emergency services were called to a Big4 Hervey Bay Holiday Park in Point Vernon on Saturday evening following reports a 24-year-old man had been stabbed.
The man was rushed to Hervey Bay Hospital but died a short time later.
Queensland Police confirmed the 14-year-old girl was taken into custody nearby and was later charged with one count of murder.
She will appear before Hervey Bay Childrens Court on Monday.
Police believe the girl and the man were known to each other.
Anyone with information that could help police with investigations into the alleged murder is urged to come forward.
