Open-world game Terminator: Survivors has been delayed to 2025

The release of open-world game Terminator: Survivors has been delayed, publisher Nacon has announced.

Previously scheduled to hit PC on October 24, 2024, before coming to consoles at a later date, the game will now be released in 2025.

Terminator: Survivors is in development at Nacon Studio Milan, which previously worked on Rims Racing and TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3.

“This deferral of the game’s release was a tough decision to make, however we believe that this additional time will enable us to ensure that our vision of the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator meets the expected level of quality,” said Marco Ponte, CEO and creative director of the studio.

“On behalf of the Nacon Studio Milan team, I would like to thank all the players and fans of the franchise for their enthusiastic reception of Terminator: Survivors. We are extremely proud to have this opportunity to work on such an iconic franchise as Terminator, and are eager to reveal more of it to you. Thank you all for support… We’ll be back.”

Terminator: Survivors is set in the world of the first two Terminator films, and will follow an original story which takes place after the second movie, four years following Judgment Day.

Either solo or in co-op, it will see players scavenging resources to build a base of operations for mankind’s fightback against Skynet’s machines, which are hunting down the surviving human factions following the nuclear war.
