Astro Bot: Sky Garden Collectible Locations

Without a doubt, Astro Bot has become one of the most remarkable hits of the year for PlayStation. This game is filled with nostalgia, combined with a spectacular level and control design, marking a before and after in the 3D platformer genre that was in much need of a new iconic series.

Like any game of this kind, there are many collectibles to find throughout all its levels. This is a guide on how to locate the 42 bots, 16 puzzle pieces, and two secret locations in the Gorilla Nebula levels of Astro Bot.

Bot 1

This first little robot appears right after finishing the first scenario. You will encounter a ready-to-collect bot when they explore this initial area, marking the beginning of their journey to gather the remaining collectibles in this first level.

This is the first of seven bots available in this specific level, and there are a total of 42 bots loose throughout Gorilla Nebula, offering a variety of levels and diverse areas to explore.

Bot 2

Immediately after grabbing the first bot—which will even unlock a trophy for beginner players—on the next platform of the Sky Garden, the second bot will be visible right after passing the checkpoint.

This bot will be hanging from a vine, and you will need to hit it to activate and collect it, adding it to the collection of small rescued robots that we’ll be searching for throughout the game.

Puzzle Piece 1

Like any initial level, the first puzzle piece will be straightforward to obtain. After collecting the second bot, simply continue forward, climb a platform, and find another checkpoint.

After this, climb the stairs, and as soon as you reach the top, you will find the first official puzzle piece of the game. This is the first of the 16 puzzle pieces in Gorilla Nebula the first big group of levels in Astro Bot.

Bot 3 (Ratchet Bot)

One of PlayStation’s most iconic franchises, Ratchet & Clank, serves as the inspiration for the third robot out of the total 305 found in Astro Bot. This robot appears right after collecting the first puzzle piece.

After pulling one of the cables, another platform will appear, and you’ll find it tied to a tree. Ratchet is the first of many excellent gaming references included in this gorgeous title. These characters are part of Sony’s history.

Bot 4 (Rivet Bot)

As you continue advancing through this level, you will encounter a giant pool with a force field covering a flower. To unlock a hidden area at the bottom of the pool, you need to hit it repeatedly.

This area in the pool’s depths will have a sort of dome filled with water, where the next bot is located. After unlocking this sealed spot, you can add Rivet from the Ratchet & Clank series to the rescued robots.

Puzzle Piece 2

For this piece, you’ll need to obtain an essential tool to progress through the level. Inside an inflatable octopus, players will find a device that attaches to Astro’s back.

This equipment allows him to float by inflating and deflating at will. Once inflated, if you explore the surroundings, you will spot a flying flamingo carrying the second puzzle piece on its back. This will be the second of three pieces available in the entire level.

Bot 5

In the same area where you acquired the floating device, you can find another bot swimming behind a turtle inside the pool, providing you with an opportunity to capture some stunning images.

You can add this calmly swimming bot to your collection of rescued robots from this level by hitting it. The turtle will play a crucial role in promptly locating this bot, which you can then strike to rescue and add to your list.

Bot 6

As you progress upward using the flotation device, you’ll find a checkpoint that leads to a pond filled with water. Dive into the pond, and at the bottom, behind another force field, you’ll find the sixth bot to rescue, guarded by two easily defeated enemies that you can dispatch with a few hits.

This could become a tricky task because handling the balloon function is not always intuitive, especially in water.

Puzzle Piece 3

After grabbing the bot at the bottom of the water-filled pond, you can use the flotation ability to inflate themselves like a balloon. When you do so, you will notice a manta ray carrying the third and final puzzle piece inside Sky Garden.

Maneuvering while inflating and deflating can be tricky, but once you master the right height, you can quickly grab this piece and continue exploring.

Bot 7

This bot will appear almost at the very end of the level, just before you complete it. Before you reach the platform required to complete the level, a plant pot on the right will exhibit movement.

When you strike this pot, the final bot in this level will emerge, completing the collection of seven bots in Sky Garden. This first level is just a
