Power rebates credited for fall in Alinta Energy’s WA gas hardship cases

Government energy rebates are being credited for a surprising fall in the number of hard-pressed customers seeking payment relief from the State’s biggest gas retailer.

Despite cost-of-living pressures across expenses from food and travel to insurance and mortgages, Alinta Energy has revealed a “pretty significant” drop in customers on hardship programs in WA, where it supplies about 450,000 households in the State’s South West.
