Opelousas teenage girl arrested, charged with child porn
OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) — A teenage girl from Opelousas was arrested and charged with child pornography, authorities said.
Addison Faith LeBlanc, 17, of Opelousas, is charged with pornography involving juveniles in connection with an incident at Beau Chene High School.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said deputies learned that students at the school possessed videos that contained child sexual abuse material.
“The investigation revealed that these videos were sent via Snapchat in a group message,” Guidroz said. “Upon learning of this, school administrators seized the four cellular devices from the students that were in possession of the pornographic material. The cellular devices were subsequently turned over to the School Resource Officers and submitted as evidence to the Sheriff’s Office Evidence Custodian.”

Investigators questioned LeBlanc, who is alleged to have distributed the videos. Based on the questioning, LeBlanc was arrested.
Bond has not yet been set.
