Sonic X Shadow Generations is getting a Movie Pack DLC featuring Keanu Reeves

Sonic X Shadow Generations will include DLC featuring the voice of Keanu Reeves.

The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack will be included with the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game.

The pack will offer the ability to play as the movie version of Shadow, voiced by Keanu Reeves (who also plays Shadow in the film).

It will also include a Tokyo area, which is where the movie is partly set.

“This content will not have a story which per se that would relate directly to the movie,” series producer Shun Nakamura said in a PlayStation Blog interview.

“Rather, as you can see in the trailer, it will be set in Tokyo, where Shadow visits in the movie.

“The development team also lives in Tokyo, so we tried to develop this setting an enjoyable place as a Sonic game but also clearly showing the Tokyo-likeness. We even went out for research to the actual area being used in the game for inspiration.

“We feel it is very exciting to play as Shadow in a real existing city, so please look forward to it.”

Sonic X Shadow Generations is an updated version of the 2011 platformer Sonic Generations.

The new version will feature a “complete remaster” of Sonic Generations, with “upgraded visuals and new bonus content”, as well as new content featuring Shadow.

VGC’s recent Sonic X Shadow Generations hands-on preview called the game “a welcome remaster of Sonic’s turning point”.

“The Sonic Generations stages are a gentle upgrade but the fact they’re back on modern hardware in the first place is satisfying enough,” we wrote.

“The Shadow Generations stages, meanwhile, don’t feel like they’re reinventing the wheel but rather feel more like a natural accompaniment to the 2011 stages, with Shadow’s extra powers and the new locations giving things a fresher feel for returning fans.”
