Vegan activist Tash Peterson kicked out for protesting at Perth Royal Show after similar stunt two years ago

Notorious vegan activist Tash Peterson has been kicked out of Perth’s biggest agricultural show after protesting in front of families.

Exactly two years after her arrest at the Perth Royal Show, Peterson was back to protest the calves “murdered in the dairy industry”.

In a video posted online, the 30-year-old wore cow print body paint and splatters of blood across her front to protest at the Show’s dairy section, where calves and milking demonstrations were being held.

Onlookers watched on as she yelled: “Every year in Australia alone over one million male calves are murdered in the dairy industry, the baby girls have to do the same type of slavery.”

Peterson told The West Australian shortly after she began protesting, she and her partner were grabbed by security.

She said they were taken to the makeshift police station at Claremont Showgrounds before being released and given a move-on notice.

“I wanted to bring attention to the abhorrent dairy industry in Australia,” Peterson told The West.

“I painted the upper half of my body as a dairy cow and had blood across my body to represent the abuse and murder of cows.”

WA Police confirmed a 30-year-old woman from Bicton was issued a move-on notice for disorderly behaviour.

The activist was arrested for trespass at the Royal Show in 2022 after she and a friend locked themselves to a fence surrounding the cattle judging ring. She pleaded guilty to the trespass charge.

The stunt comes just weeks after she held a shocking protest outside David Jones in Perth’s CBD with animal rights organisation PETA.

Peterson prompted looks of confusion and outrage as she lay in a bikini covered in fake blood outside the Hay Street store.
