Tyron Smith appears in court charged over alleged incidents at Perth CBD fast food outlet

A man accused of approaching children at a fast food outlet, offering to buy them alcohol, inviting them to his home, holding their hands and allegedly kissing them against their wishes has appeared in court.

Tyron Smith faced Perth Magistrates Court on Friday over allegations he approached “various teenagers” at the fast food outlet in the Perth CBD between 4pm and 6pm on Wednesday.

It is alleged he offered to buy the children alcohol, invited them to his house and also made comments of a sexual nature.

“It is further alleged he kissed and held the hands of several children against their wishes and attempted to do the same with others,” police said.

The 41-year-old did not apply for bail, with a duty lawyer asking for his matter to be adjourned for several weeks because he has other matters in the District Court.

Mr Smith has been charged with two counts of indecently dealing with a child over 13 and under 16 and breaching protective bail conditions.

He is expected to appear in court again on December 13.
