More children are being diagnosed as short-sighted due to spending less time outdoors and more time on screens, according to a new global study.
Rates of myopia tripled between 1990 and 2023, rising to 36 per cent, researchers from Sun Yat-sen University in China found after reviewing hundreds of studies.
