Bryan S.Meyer, 37, of Topeka, dies in crash at N.W. 62nd and US-75 highway

One person died and two people were injured late Friday in a two-vehicle crash at N.W. 62nd and US-75 highway, said a spokeswoman for the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office.

Bryan S. Meyer, 37, of Topeka, was killed in the crash, which was reported just after 10:15 p.m., said Deputy Abigail Christian of the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office.

The names, ages and genders of the other two people weren’t being made public.

The crash involved a Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by Meyer, who was driving eastbound on N.W. 62nd, and a Jeep vehicle with two occupants, which was southbound on US-75, Christian said.

N.W. 62nd and US-75 is regulated by stop signs for eastbound and westbound traffic.

”It appears the Ford failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by the Jeep,” Christian said.

Meyer was pronounced deceased at the scene, she said.

The two occupants of the Jeep were taken by American Medical Response ambulance to a Topeka hospital, Christian said.

The sheriff’s office was investigating circumstances of the crash, she said.
