How to Get the Mark I Spacesuit

Starfield has loads of things to explore as players progress through the game. However, as you go forward, you will uncover that the game has multiple interesting suits that you can unlock to make your in-game journey smoother, and the Mark I Spacesuit is among them. Initially, there was a glitch that players exploited to acquire this space suit, but Bethesda fixed it with Update 1.10.30. So, if you are grinding presently, you have to follow the proper process to get the Mark I Spacesuit in Starfield. That’s a bit confusing, but a little help will resolve all the hardship.

How to Get the Mark I Spacesuit in Starfield

Starfield may not have performed as expected, but it has thousands of mysteries to discover and solve. Players can even get Special Powers in the game to make the journey more interesting. However, attention to offense is not everything. Defense is equally important, and that’s why you need to get spacesuits whenever they are unlocked. 

Now the twist here is that the Mark I Spacesuit in Starfield can’t be obtained randomly. For that, players need to look for the Lodge Key which will open the basement door where the suit is located. So, let’s check these steps out one by one. 

To begin the process, players need to start with the first main story mission, One Small Step. The mission will take you to the MAST District of New Atlantis. Keep progressing through this quest, and it will eventually provide you with the Lodge Key.

Now that you have the key, make your way to the Lodge entryway, and on your right side, find the stairs. Under the stairs, you will find the wooden basement door. 

Now the trick is that the key is not the only thing required for acquiring the suit. Once you unlock the basement door, start exploring the basement area. There will be an underground section, and one corner of the room with a painting, which will be found on your right side, has the spacesuit on a mannequin.

It is locked inside a display glass box. This unlocking process requires you to level up your Security Skill to level 3 and use multiple lockpicks, which are called Digipicks in the game.

If you are thinking about where to get lockpicks in the game, don’t worry; these are not hard to locate. Visit any General Store around the world, and you can get these items. At any time, you can get three Digipicks from a store. To get more, return to it 24 hours later. Alternatively, these items can be found at research labs, outposts, etc., anywhere.

Now that you have all the required items and skills, it is time to open the master lock and get the spacesuit. Head to the room with a painting, and once you locate the Mark I Spacesuit in the corner, use the lockpicks to open the glass box and acquire the spacesuit. 

Remember, you must hover over the glass box until you get the options ‘Mannequin‘ and ‘Open.’ As soon as you spot these, click on the instructed button to get the space suit.

How to Upgrade Security Skills in Starfield

Starfield has multiple skills to unlock and upgrade. Importantly, each of them requires players to meet separate criteria to level up. However, when it comes to Security Skills, the game offers players four types of skills: Novice, Advanced, Expert, and Master. With each upgrade, players will be able to break more complicated lock codes.

Unlocking the Mark I Spacesuit requires you to reach level 3, which allows you to lockpick Master locks, and additionally, a fourth auto attempt unlocks.
