Who Is Flesh Lips?

Flesh Lips is one of the strangest monsters in the Silent Hill 2 Remake. Also known as Lustful Lips, it hangs in a metal cage. Its appearance defies full description, resembling a grotesque lump of flesh with human-like limbs.

In fact, if you look closely at the bottom, you’ll notice its mouth creating weird sounds that will make your stomach churn even more.

Your encounter with Flesh Lips is a matter of luck and betrayal, as a little girl named Laura will lock you in a room where this monster is located.

Flesh Lips Weaknesses and Skills

Now that you know this monster’s physical appearance, you will quickly guess its major weakness: speed. It doesn’t move very fast or chase you while it’s in its cage, which will make your fight with it much easier than with other bosses.

It’s never an enemy to be underestimated, by the way. Once it gets out of its cage, everything changes. It starts chasing you, turning into a fully dangerous foe.

Never attempt a melee attack against it, as it will try to strangle you with its human-like legs. It’s best to use ranged weapons during the fight for a safer approach.

How to Defeat Flesh Lips

You’ll encounter Flesh Lips during the final section of Brookhaven Hospital. Before the fight, you’ll first meet Laura, a little girl playing alone in a dark room.

Laura will say that there is a letter from Mary, but she hid it in another room. Then, you will go with her to the room where the letter is hidden.

However, as soon as you step into the room, Laura will lock you inside and tell you that she tricked you. No matter what you do, you won’t be able to open the door, and as soon as you turn around, you will see Flesh Lips falling from the ceiling with its metal cage.

Since most of its body is inside a metal cage, you should shoot its feet with a ranged weapon in the first stage. As mentioned before, avoid close combat because it will try to strangle you.

It will constantly pull itself back up to the ceiling and try to surprise you by coming down from a different area, so you need to stay alert. It will remain stationary for a few seconds with each move, and these are the moments when you should deal as much damage as possible.

After a while, its cage will break, meaning it is free and will start chasing you around the room. Keep attacking with ranged weapons to prevent it from getting too close. Now that its cage is gone, you can also target its body.

After you deal enough damage to it, it will die, and the fight will end with a short cutscene.
