I-15 lanes reopen after morning closure due to Las Vegas freeway shooting
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The southbound lanes of I-15 were completely closed Wednesday morning for more than two hours due to a police investigation into a shooting that caused major traffic delays for Las Vegas valley commuters.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a shooting on or near the freeway was reported around 5:30 a.m. which resulted in southbound I-15 being closed at Lake Mead Boulevard which caused major traffic delays during the morning commute. Traffic from the north part of the valley was backed up to near Craig Road.
Around 7:30 a.m., Nevada State Police said the three left travel lanes would reopen while the far two right lanes remained closed for the shooting investigation near Washington Avenue.
