Ken Lilley: Police still searching for 39-year-old over alleged robbery and assault in Pinjar

Police are continuing their hunt for a man wanted over a robbery and assault after he fled into bushland in Perth’s north.

The tactical response group flooded the northern suburb of Pinjar on Tuesday afternoon after officers tried to stop Ken Lilley near the intersection of Wanneroo and Nowergup roads.

A WA Police spokesman confirmed on Wednesday morning that they had not found the 39-year-old — more than 12 hours after they issued an urgent appeal for information.

Police said that Mr Lilley abandoned his car near the Wanneroo Road intersection before fleeing on foot into bushland.

It has been reported that he may be armed.

A 10km boundary — around several roads and bushland — was established by police late on Tuesday, with members of the public urged to stay away and remain alert.

Overnight, police were seen in Nowergup near Hopkins Road as part of the search.

Vision captured by 7NEWS showed that an undercover police car had been damaged and another run off the road.

Mr Lilley is described as about 178cm tall with a solid build and short, shaved red hair.

He has a cross tattoo on his left cheek and others on his neck. He was last seen wearing a red and white t-shirt.

Anyone who sees Mr Lilley should not approach him and should contact police immediately on 131 444.

Information regarding his whereabouts can be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
