Shift Up is considering releasing Stellar Blade for PC in 2025

Shift Up has said it’s considering releasing Stellar Blade for PC in 2025.

The company discussed plans to bring the game to PC in a Q&A session accompanying its quarterly financial results.

“The release is being considered within 2025,” it said. “Considering recent trends such as Steam‘s expanding market share in the AAA game sector and the global success of Black Myth: Wukong, we expect the performance on PC to exceed that on consoles.”

Published by Sony, Stellar Blade was released as a PS5 exclusive in April.

“To enhance the IP value and maintain momentum, we have been consistently releasing content patches and updates, which has helped sustain the game’s popularity,” Shift Up said in the Q&A.

“With the addition of the Nier: Automata DLC and ongoing marketing activities, we plan to maintain the IP’s popularity until the platform expansion.”

Stellar Blade will add Nier Automata DLC and a photo mode next week as part of a major title update.

Earlier this year the South Korean company confirmed it was exploring the possibility of developing a Stellar Blade sequel.

During its earnings Q&A, Shift Up also touched on its next new IP, which it has reportedly likened to Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Fate/Grand Order.

Codenamed Project Witches, it’s planned to launch globally across console, PC and mobile with cross-play.

“We are currently developing Project Witches with the goal of launching it after 2027,” Shift Up said. “We are considering communicating with users and the market in the first half of next year to share specific details about Project Witches.”
