Xavier High School principal terminated following complaint

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Xavier High School principal Mike Mauthe has been terminated after a complaint was filed with the Diocese of Green Bay, the diocese confirmed in a statement.

The Diocese of Green Bay said it received a complaint against Mauthe and began an investigation immediately.

“All complaints are taken seriously, and an investigation was immediately conducted,” the statement read.

Mauthe was initially placed on administrative leave in accordance with diocesan policies. However, as the investigation progressed, the diocese determined he had violated diocesan school policy and terminated his employment.

The matter has been referred to local authorities for further investigation. The diocese and Xavier High School leadership stated they are fully cooperating with law enforcement.
