Silent Hill 2 patch claims to fix PlayStation 5 Pro issues

Silent Hill 2‘s graphical issues on PlayStation 5 Pro have been addressed in the game’s latest update.

Konami has released patch notes for update 1.06, which can be read below.

While some in-game issues like fixing in-game map markers and other small issues have been resolved, the main fix for PS5 Pro users centers on graphical issues that was seeing the game look worse on the Pro console than the base model.

According to Digital Foundry, Silent Hill 2’s PS5 Pro upgrade boosts frame rate on both quality and performance modes, creating a more stable 30 and 60 frames per second.

However, it also introduced “some glaring image stability issues not found on the standard PlayStation 5 – and this looks to be another game with a troubled PSSR upscaling implementation”.

According to Konami’s patch notes, some of these “graphics glitches” have now been fixed.
