Man dead after being shot by Winnipeg police in Unicity parking lot
A man is dead after being shot by Winnipeg police in a Unicity parking lot on Sunday evening, sources told CBC.
The sources say a police officer was stabbed but is in stable condition.
Video posted to social media shows police shooting a man.
Jessica Esau was in her vehicle in Winnipeg’s west end, waiting for a food order with her youngest child, when she saw police shoot the man.
“Scariest situation ever,” Esau said via Facebook.

More than 30 police cars, multiple ambulances and at least one firetruck converged on an area near a bus shack, according to other videos posted after 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
All emergency vehicles except a few police cars were gone by 6 p.m.
