Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora story DLC suffers short last-minute delay

The release date for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s second story DLC has been delayed by a couple of days.

Previously scheduled to launch on November 26, the Secrets of the Spires expansion will now be released on November 28.

In a statement published on X, Ubisoft blamed the delay on the emergence of “a critical last-minute issue”.

It said: “We know many of you are eagerly awaiting this new adventure in the Western Frontier, and we apologize for this delay. Our priority is delivering a high-quality, enjoyable and memorable experience for all of our players.

“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to bring it to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.”

Secrets of the Spires is the second of two story packs included in the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora season pass, which comes with the game’s Gold and Ultimate editions.

Ubisoft has said it will feature “epic aerial battles in the Spires of the Clouded Forest, a spectacular mountainous region of Pandora”.

The game’s first story DLC, The Sky Breaker, was released in July.

Avatar studio Massive Entertainment’s latest game, Star Wars Outlaws, was released for Steam last week alongside the launch of story DLC featuring Lando Calrissian.
