Doom fans, it’s time to prepare yourself for a brand-new chapter in the iconic franchise. Bethesda and Id Software have revealed that Doom: The Dark Ages is all set to release on Xbox Series S/X and Windows in 2025!

What’s even better is the fact that Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have day-one access to The Dark Ages. This addition will undoubtedly add to the value of Game Pass and allow subscribers to experience this renowned franchise without additional cost!

The Dark Ages plans to bring players an intense demon-slaying action that’s central to the franchise. Gamers will step into the shoes of Doom Salyer once again and fend off hordes of demons with lethal weapons.

This entry acts as a prequel before the events of 2016’s Doom and will explore the world of Argent D’Nur that hasn’t been touched upon in the IP yet, placing a much deeper focus on the society and social makeup of the land before the fall under Hell’s forces.

As we get closer to the game’s release, we’re likely to receive more details and gameplay footage of what we can expect to see in The Dark Ages.

Xbox Game Pass Gets a Brand New Feature

There’s no denying the fact that 2024 has proven to be an incredible year for Xbox Game Pass. The service has seen the addition of various major day-one releases and the inclusion of Activision Blizzard games that pulled in millions of players.

However, Microsoft has more in store for the service. Xbox has revealed that Game Pass Ultimate members now have the ability to stream certain games they own with the help of Xbox Cloud Gaming, which is currently in beta.

The list includes 50 titles that aren’t a part of the service, including Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, and many more. According to Xbox, players will be able to stream these games on all compatible devices with a supported browser as long as they own it.

It’s great to see that Xbox is constantly pushing the boundaries with the Game Pass service and bringing in new useful features.
